It isn't much, but my sewing area is organized!

I just needed to share!

I moved all my fabric to the shelves so that I could see them, but eventually it will over run this area. So someone told me about taking swatches and categorizing them and then noting their location per bin. I will do that in time but keep my diaper making/cloth pad making supplies on the shelf readily available. Oh and under the shelves is my wheat storage in 50 gallon barrels!

The huge bin under my cutting table is for my wool. It is a lovely cedar smelled haven.

And the old fashioned sewing table on the right is my daughters' "new" machine. It is a 1956 Kenmore, all metal construction Beauty!!

Lastly, I added the light above so I could see things better. It is florescent bulbs but the whole light spectrum bulbs. It has REALLY helped!

Hope you enjoyed this tour!

My First Class

Today was my first class and it was a wonderful success. And honestly, I didn't think it was going to be because I was fighting a cold all week. But after a slow start, we made a ton of progress and 1 trainer was completely finished. 3 more only need the Fold Over Elastic and snaps put on and then they are done too. I loved my super cheerful students too.

We're Throwing a Fit and You're Invited

T-Shirt Fitted Diaper. Don't you just love it?!

And my little helper.

And this is an ADORABLE wool skirtie that I made from a sweater at the Goodwill! I love the circular pattern at the top of the sweater and it lent to a wonderful shirt. So girly and warm at the same time.

It's been an interesting few weeks...

We had some sort of stomach bug/fever during Halloween week and at the same time, threw out my back. It involved and ER visit and a naturalist and still not much progress beyond being able to go to the potty on my own. Yippee! I did finally go to the chiropractor yesterday and I asked him on a scale of 1-10 how bad was it. He said it was an 8-10. Yikes. Nutritionally, I need to eat more whole foods and I know that. Physically, I need to do more exercise. Looking into getting a mini trampoline as well. So I will be working on that.

And because of all this I haven't done much sewing. Some and and I will show it off, but not much. However we also came into alot of food during this time, and it need preserved. So stepping out of my comfort zone, I learned about canning meat and lemons. Then my family had to help too when I was stuck in the bed.

We canned Hamburger for the first time. I used this website on how to do it.

And so since this summer, We have canned Lavender, Violet, and Dandelion Jellies, Kidney and Chickpea beans, Lemon juice, and now Hamburger and Gator Meat.

And the good news is, if our freezer fails, we haven't lost anything.
